In Ponec the Czech premiere of the newest piece of Debris Company MONO will be presented. The performance was nominated for the prestigious Slovak theatre prizes DOSKY in 2 categories (The Best Dance Piece, The Best Scenic Music). "In MONO the theme flashes from the final form more naturally. A world of narcissuses is opened in front of us, the world of lonely perfectness or perfect loneliness... The production of MONO moved the group into more extreme and physically more demanding stages, sometimes even into acrobatic levels and prevailing swiftness and precision."

Fresh Film Fest
The 8th annual of the International Festival of First Features and Student Films will be held in Prague, Czech Republic from August 24th to 28th, 2011. Fresh Film Fest is an international competitive film festival, which focuses on student and first feature films. The festival aims to provide a wide portrait of contemporary young world cinema and hosts professional non-public presentations. Special film programs and feature film openings are accompanying the student and first films selection. This year's theme of the international film festival Fresh Film Fest emerged from organisators' growing need to add the moment of surprise to the Czech student films as they are more and more often characterised as “coventional” or “conservative”. „Our program will stand against this kind of film production,“ says Jan Stehlík, the Art Director of Fresh Film Fest. „You can look forward to the selection of almost 150 films you can't see anywhere else. The films are progressive, original, innovative, interesting - simply fresh,“ says Martin Pošta, the Director of Fresh Film Fest. Venues: Palác Akropolis, kino Světozor, Kino 35 (Francouzský institut), divadlo Ponec, Riegrovy sady, FAMU. For more information www.freshfilmfest.net
