Whether you like it or not, life is a drama full of weird characters and incredible scenes. Each one of us is performing on their own stage while trying to understand all the parallel acts. No one has read the play beforehand, everyone is playing their specific role.

TANEC PRAHA festival 2011 cares for children
Following the tradition established during its past editions, the XXIIIrd festival of contemporary dance and movement theatre TANEC PRAHA 2011 will offer a rich programme for kids and their parents. Ponec theatre will host dance-theatre projects of the groups Stage Code, Kyklos Galaktikos and VerTeDance or the creative tandem Jana Látalová (Hudečková) and Marta Trpišovská. The programme is designed for kids from the age of 5 to 15. Dana Nekardová, the co-ordinator of the programme, explains: „The programme includes both morning performances for schools and afternoon performances, starting at 5 pm, that are open to general public.“

The Magic of May Nights, or We Dance with Love II
Dance about love and more for everyone who didn’t get a kiss on May 1st. Duets by leading Czech groups and dancers (DOT504, VerTeDance, NANOHACH, Jarek Cemerek and Helena Arenbergerová) selected from past and current seasons as well as emotional solos by Lea Švejdová and Tereza Ondrová. In the second half of the evening the audience will get the chance to experience the passionate rhythms of Argentinean tango under the guidance of professional dancers from the Argentinean Tango Studio. Brazilian slaves 26. + 27. 4. at Ponec!
Playing actors and viewers. A play which may overpower its participants, but is impossible not to join. A group of actors is performing a play concerning bull´s resurrection from days immemorial until today. A frightening and a frightened look are trying to push each other out, and thus delimitate the stage and the auditorium. This Farm in the Cave´s scenic composition draws from rhythms and dance steps through which slaves in Brazil were shaking off their bonds and creating their own world. RESERVATION
