Transforma

Constant change is our nature. Five women in an act of transformation and regressed evolution are wishing to fulfill each others desires. Transforming through an infant, innocent female, male, an animal, a monster.

We can only wish to cure civilization with our embracing power after we have faced and tasted our fear. We have to let the beast out, the generous loving beast. Perhaps our intelligence has nothing to do with our survival after all, but we will not deny it. We are thinking creatures, and our fundamental need for each other is recognizable and expressed even in our language. We are on a constant journey in search of self identity that dances back and forth with the forces of nature.

„All the female dancers involved have altogether also their own choreographic experience. They performed by means of dancing the regeneration of the beings half drowsy, almost blind who winter in the form of flowers on the stage to „the women who were running with wolves“. „Basically Lipsker works with the polarity of the animal and cultural – which reminds us of the former choreography Dance of Canis Lupus a bit, which was worked up for VerteDance by Thomas Stayert. Even here we meet the group of women who can be a pack, a clump of molecules, protozoans as well as prehistoric monsters. The transitions between the sophisticated, plastic movement and affect leading to caricature are organic and move forward like cracks in a wall.
